Touch Economic Times

So, my cousin Rebecca in her blog http://jasonandrebeccalewis.blogspot.com/ said "In these tough economic times, we in the Lewis household are now strictly watching our spending. It's for the better because it has forced me to...." Well, here in the Hrisco household we have been doing the same. I love going to the following webiste http://afrugalfriend.blogspot.com. It provideds great tips and free stuff; it also helps link you up to some coupons. Here is a good coupon site http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=13903&nid=10&zid=xh20 and this webiste http://www.eversave.com/ allows you to put them on your Kroger card. One of my favorite things to do on Sunday is to get the paper and see what sales are going on and to ensure I get the best deal possible. I hope you enjoy these sites as much as I do.

NYC Trip

This is me, getting my train ticket to Penn Station. I love taking the train and subway system. I really wish they had that here in Fort Worth.

Okay, this was suppose to be a picture, but somehow it turn into a very short video...this is me @ Penn Station subway system waiting to take the #2 train. Stacey, Dave and I were on our way to Chinatown. Everywhere you walk someone is asking you if you want to buy a purse or Rolex watch and there are cops everywhere. Now if this underground business of buying a purse is so hush hush I just don't understand because the cops know what is going on, it is being done right in front of them.

Yes, another video that was suppose to be a picture...this is me in Chinatown. After this we went to Little Itlay and then walked to Wall Street and Ground Zero. You really can't see anything because they have already started construction on a building there. I was kind of disappointed...

They had this wall up all around ground zero, so you really couldn't see anything...big disappointment.

Ladder Company 10, is located right where everything occured, now I can see why they were the first to respond. This Fire Department is still operational.

As the day went on the temperature started to drop. The day started off at 44 degrees and by the time 4pm rolled around it was 17 degrees with a wind chill factor of 2 degrees. Needless to say I was done at that point of my time in NYC. My next blog will show my adventure out of NYC.

Happy Anniversary to Doug & Christi

Doug and Christi's Anniversary is today and I remember their dress rehearsal dinner like it was yesterday. It was so much fun! I will have to dig out some pictures...

These two enjoy life, family, friends and travel. These two are a perfect match for one another and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful sister-n-law. I can't wait to meet their two new additions to the family Ozzie and Guinness!

Up Coming Plans....

So, much has been going on in my life latey....I feel like I am going non-stop. My "m" career has taken me into a new direction. This is going to allow me to broaden my career and see other things other than a "fighter squadron".
  • I need to take some current pictures of the dogs...since you saw our Christmas card last...Journey, our yellow lab has grown. We couldn't imagine them not being in our lives. They are always doing something to make us laugh.
  • This past weekend, one my co-workers passed away. He, found out in October that his cancer returned and that it had spread to his lymph nodes. This came very unexpectedly to everyone out at the base. I have great memories of him and he will be greatly missed by everyone.
